Gaskets

Gaskets for Water Trucks

Gaskets are the seal between two flanged faces, and on a water truck they sit at almost every system: tank outlets, pump housings, pipe work and camlock assemblies. A worn, split or incorrectly rated gasket is one of the most common causes of nuisance leaks and pressure loss. Replacing them is quick and inexpensive, which makes keeping spares on hand well worth it.

Welding Solutions supplies rubber gaskets suited to the water and slurry lines found on water carts and transfer systems. Rubber gives the compression and flexibility needed to seal reliably against vibration and the constant flexing these trucks experience on rough ground. Unlike a rigid seal, a quality rubber gasket takes up small imperfections in the flange face and holds its seal as bolts are torqued and the joint settles under working pressure.

Table D and Table E Flange Gaskets

Australian pipe flanges are commonly manufactured to Table D or Table E, and the two are not interchangeable, so matching the gasket to the flange rating is essential for a proper seal. We stock both, in the sizes that suit typical water truck plumbing. Current stock includes 2.5 inch and 3 inch rubber gaskets in Table D, plus 4 inch gaskets in both Table D and Table E. Having the 4 inch size in both tables on hand means you can seal the correct flange without guesswork or a return trip. The difference between the tables comes down to bolt patterns and dimensions, so a Table D gasket will not seat correctly on a Table E flange and vice versa. If you are unsure which table your flanges use, our parts team can help you identify it before you order.

Fast Dispatch of Water Truck Gaskets

Because gaskets are a consumable item, we recommend carrying a small spares kit so a split seal never keeps a truck off the job. It is worth replacing a gasket whenever a flange is opened up for other work, rather than reusing one that has already been compressed and may not reseal. All sizes are stocked in our Bibra Lake warehouse and dispatched quickly to sites right across Australia, with parts now available in Queensland through direct delivery or local collection.
